Hi Friends! Happy Monday. And Happy Labor Day! While I’m off hiking with friends in King’s Canyon, I’ll leave you with today’s post, short and sweet. Last Friday’s post had enough content to last us the rest of September! Haha.
Alrighty … the final day.
July 7, 2013
We woke up when we woke up. We were all pretty tired from the night before, but I think the idea of reaching our final destination (and a real bed and a shower) motivated us. We reached Duck Lake pretty quickly, and this place was beautiful. Ooh the colors! We stopped here for lunch and asked some fellow hikers to take our picture. Yay group shot!
Once we made it up and around the lake, and through the final pass, the rest of the trip was downhill. 😀 Look how happy we are!The view was unreal. We actually got a spot of service here too, so I gave Jonathan a call. Yay! It was so nice to hear his voice! Usually when I’m hiking in the wilderness like this he is with me, so this trip was quite different for me. But all in all the trip was a complete blast and I’d do it all over again. Maybe minus the hundreds of bites on my legs and the broken toe part. 😉And after a hot shower and yummy lunch, we treated ourselves to some Ben & Jerry’s frozen treats!
